MAN ATTIRED AS NURSE

UNLAWFULLY IN HOUSE ACCUSED CHARGED IN COURT [ 11Y TELEGRAPH —I'll ESS ASSOCIATION J WELLINGTON", Friday A labourer and motor driver, George Nathaniel Maly, aged 3.5, pleaded guilty to-day to stealing a nurse's uniform, valued at 10s (id, and to being "unlawfully on premises in Kent Terrace. The police stated that on the night of Mav L' 7 the uniform was left in a

room at the rear of Sir James Klliott's house. The owner's sister, on going to collect it, saw what she took to be a nurse standing near the back of tho house. A figure ran past her, and it was discovered to be a man, and a man's clothing was found in the coal shed. In the clothing were letters addressed to the accused. Ho was traced to bis house in Mirainar.

.Accused explained, the police added, that he bad visited town that day and bad become drunk. He was taken by a man to where the mail said he could obtain board, and when he awoke he found himself without clothing. Me donned the nurse's uniform and ran to Mirainar, where he obtained other clothes. Maly was convicted and orderwl to come up for sentence within 12 months if called upon, a, condition being that ho refund the sum of 10s Gd.
