SMUGGLING OF GOLD
ALLEGATIONS IN GERMANY BERLIN, July 20 It has been decreed that all pre-war 10 and 20 gold marks pieces shall cease to be legal tender on August 15. The ox tout of the hoards is unknown. A mother and daughter from Frankfort and other members of the Rothschild family were arrested on the frontier on charges of attempting to smuggle currency to Luxembourg. It is alleged that £I4OO was concealed in I their clothing and furniture.
