NON-STOP FLIGHTS

BRITAIN'S PROGRAMME CRUISE TO AUSTRALIA LONDON, July 14 The recent record non-stop formation flight by four Royal Air Force VickersWellesley bombers from Cranwcll to Jsmailia, Egypt, a distance cf 4300 miles, was a prelude to greater achievement. An aviation authority said to-day: "In the next few months a carefully planned series of flights, designed to elucidate many intricate problems of efficient long-distance flying, will demonstrate even moro clearly the mobility and striking power over thousands of miles of modern British warplanes. "These flights will culminate in a formation cruise to Australia, probably from Egypt, which will far surpass the world distance record of 6305 miles, held by Russians."
