TENNIS CLUB DANCE

FUNCTION AT HERNE BAY YOUNG PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE The clubhouse of the Heme Bay Lawn Tennis Club presented a gav sceno on Saturday night, when the young people's committee held a successful dance. Tho pavilion was decorated in the club's colours of brown and gold, clusters of balloons and festoons of streamers adding an artistic touch to the surroundings. The committee comprised:—Miss Wilma Kceffe, who wore white lace; Miss Averill Canunell, white satin; and Messrs. Owen Thomson, Colin Canunell and Ken Wade.

Among tho dancers were: —Mrs. C. Peryer, wearing blue lace; Miss Edna Canunell, lavender georgette; Miss Spragg, petal blue lace; Miss June Gil'ford, black silk net over taffetas;' Miss Joan Clinton, cherry red net; Miss Dorecn Hemming, gold satin; Miss Carr, floral crepo do chine; Miss Gloria Crooks, blue crepe; Miss Maisie Morris, figured taffetas; Miss Margaret Millson, floral crepe de chine; Miss June Millson, apricot taffetas; Miss Itona Kendall, white satin; Miss Littler, white cloque; Miss Joan Harvey, black taffetas; Miss Joyce Hatrick, blue taffetas; Miss Joyce Barclay, black silk crepe; Miss Althea Comes, Coronation blue satin; Miss Joyce Haite, green floral taffetas; Miss Valina Carter, cyclamen georgette; Miss Margaret Johnston, scarlet taffetas; Miss Alma Haynes, applo green crepe.
