CHANGEABLE WITH RAIN f COLD TEMPERATURES The weather report and forecast for New Zealand issued by the Government meteorologist last evening were as follows:—Yesterday's depression lias moved eastward, but conditions are still unsettled to the north and east of the North Island, while a secondary depression is crossing the South Island. ' An anti-cyclone still rovers southeastern Australia. The forecast is f or moderate to strong southerly to southeasterly winds prevailing and reaching galo force, in some exposed positions. Seas rather rough to rough. Eastern Tasman sea: Strong southerly winds to gales and rough seas, but conditionsmoderating. The weather is likely to be changeable and with rain at times in most districts, but more,especially east of the ranges. Snow on the high levels and hail in places. SPECIAL AUCKLAND FORECAST COLD AMD SHOWLRY The Government meteorologist issued to the Hkrald last evening the following special forecast for the Auckland I Province: —.Moderate to strong southwest to southerly winds.
