DESTRUCTION BY FIRE

BUSINESS REORGANISED NEW PREMISES IN FREEMAN'S BAY Since fire completely gutted a huge block of business premises in Chancery Street, D.S.C. and Cousins have been faced with the tremendous task of wholly reorganising and rebuilding their business so well known and long established in Auckland. The actual loss in partially completed motor'vehicles of nil descriptions, although colossal, was really overshadowed in importance by the task of immediately having to find new premises in which to again set their skilled staff at work. D.S.C. and Cousins' new homo is in .Sale Street, Freeman's Bay. Less than five minutes from the C.P.O. will bring you to this firm's new premises. Sale Street is on the bottom left-hand side of Wellesley Street West, near Victoria Park and next to Ross and Glendining's Clothing Factory. D.S.C. and Cousins' new premises can easily be found on tho right hand side. Housed under one roof, every conceivable job to be imagined can be done to vour car. Old customers are specially invited to inspect the firm's new home, while any owner of a private car, truck or vehicle can rest assured that D.S.C. and Cousins' experience over the past 40 years, plus the obvious advantage of new machinery and new workshops ensures a first-class job at a moderate cost. This, said Mr. .Toll, the company's manager, was amply borne out by the fact that D.S.C. had only two days ago been given a repeat order for three more omnibus bodies for L. ,T. Keys, Limited. As this firm's big fleet of modern transport vehicles have all previously been built by D.S.C. he regards this as a good omen for the future and a further expression of confidence in his firm's ability to turn out first-class work.

This firm also wishes to publicly place on record the deep appreciation with which the numerous offers of assistance were received from members of tho trade, Auckland Transport Board, and Messrs. Gorrie, Biss and Hyland, accountants. These offers alone made it possible for D.S.C. and Cousins to start their staff at work again the day .after tho fire. It is to do this and also to acquaint; tho general public with their new address that has decided D.S.C and Cousins, Ltd., to publish this article. Phone 44-166 or 46-403 will bring instant attention to all. your motoring wants. —Advt. .
