TOP PRICE 525 GUINEAS AUSTRALIAN-BRED YEARLINGS [BY TET.ECRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] "WELLINGTON, Friday Tlie sale of Australian-bred yearlings, tlio property of Mr. Hamilton, of Sydney, was lield at Trentham to-dav, tlio auctioneers being Wright, Stephenson and Company, Limited. The top price of 525 guineas was realised by a bay colt by Caledon- from Isalon, which was bought by Mr. J. Baker, of Morrinsville. Mr. R. B. Hines, of Te Aroha. paid 450 guineas for a Brazen —Ridicule colt. Mr. W. H. Barton, of Matamata, secured a Spearhead —Silo colt for 200 guineas, and a Caledon —Saudra filly for 215 guineas. A Brazen —Irolene filly went to Mr. F. C. Christie, of Hyde, for £230. A brown filly by Constant Son from Lady Cynosure was bought by Mr. H. E. Martin, of Christchurch, for 400 guineas. A number of other yearlings and several older horses were offered for sale, but there were several passings. Morning Mist, a bay filly by Irish Lancer—Bright Hackle, rising two years, offered on account of Mr. R. J. Murph.v, of Wellington, was bought by Mr. W. Glover, of Auckland, who also secured for 65 guineas the six-year-old gelding Baldvic, sold on account of Mr. C. W. Boyd, of Falmerston North. Allnietic, five years, by Munetu —-All Day, offered on account of Mrs. R. E. Grmvcott, of Hastings, was bought by Mr. R. Martin, of Matamata, for 200 guineas. A seven-vcar-old Royal Divorce — Musical Moment gelding, Sunder, was sold on account of Mr. A. F. Atkins, to Mr T. Thompson, of Carterton, for '25 guineas. The four-vear-old maro Marriage Bell (Tea 'J'ra.v —Gold Treasure), sold on account of Smith Brothers, of Mangaweka. was purchased by Mr. L. Brown, of Upper JTutt, for 14 guineas.
