TRAVELLING STILL ARDUOUS MOTOR VEHICLES SUFFER [bt telegraph—OWN correspondent! GISBORNE, Friday An indication of the condition of the damaged portion of the Napier-Wairoa Road is given by the experience of the Napier-Wairoa-Gisborne Transport Company during the last few weeks. During that period vehicles operated by tho company have been damaged to the extent of five broken springs, two broken axles and two ruined crown wheels and pinions. The normal schedule time of the company's lorries from Napier to Gisborn© is 11 hours. When the road was reopened after the flood, however, the time occupied on the journey was about 18 hours, which has now been reduced to 13 hours, an indication that the road conditions are improving, ihe worst section is between Tangoio and I Tutira.
