VISIT TO ISLANDS
MAOTGANUFS CRUISE . I LEAVING AUCKLAND 0 TO-DAY THREE WEEKS' ABSENCE On a three weeks' cruise to the Pacific Islands, the Union Company's passenger steamer Maunganui will leave Auckland at three o'clock this afternoon, sailing from Prince's Wharf. She will arrive here from Wellington this morning, bringing a large number of Southern passengers, and travellers joining the steamer at Auckland trill fill all the remaining berths. The first call of the ship will be at Rarotonga, where she is due on Monday. Owing to an outbreak of measles there, passengers will not be allowed to go ashore. From Rarotonga the Maunganui will proceed to Papeete, arriving there on Wednesday morning and remaining for two days. Moorea and Bora Bora will be the next places of call, and after three days at sea, the Maunganui will reach Apia on July 20. From Apia she will go to Vavan, Tonga.' Then the Maunganui -will'proceed to Nukualofa, the capital of Tonga. She will leave there on July 25 for Auckland, arriving on July 29 and sailing the same day for Wellington. Tha commander of the steamer is Captain G. B. Morgan.
