MUSICAL EVENING
ENJOYABLE PROGRAMME j LYCEUM CLUB CIRCLE MEETS DECORATIONS IN THE LOUNGE! A most enjoyable musical programme was presented nt Hio Lyceum Club Inst , night. when Hie music circle held an , open evening. The lounge, which wni warmed bv a log lire, wns attractively decorated with tall brass vases of nemona folingo, shaded berries and {lowering peach. Low bowls ot luculin, flowers in autumn toninfis and massed bunches of jonquils were also placed about the room. The guests were received by Madame Aileen Johns, who wore black reversible satin with beaded embroidery in strasse j and diamante. Assisting her was the j acting-secretary, Mrs. A. Campbell, j who wore a trained frock of black i faille, threaded with gold, and a match- j ing coat embossed in velvet. The president, Mrs. W. H. Parkes, presided. She wore a graceful frock of j Burgundy panne velvet. Solos were featured on the programme, the only exception being a sonata for piano and violin given by Leo Whittaker and Ina Bosworth. Vocal , solos were given by Madame Aileen ; Johns, violin solos were played by Ina j Bosworth, and Leo Whittaker gave j pianoforte solos At the conclusion of the programme the members and artists met at supper.
