Collection to defray expenses COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICES pOROMANDEL COUNTY RECLAMATION AND EMPOWERING LOCAL BILL. Notice is hereby given that a Local Bill will be introduced in Parliament during the present Session thereof by the Coromandel County Council under the title of "The Coromandel County Reclamation and Empowering Act, 1938." The objects of the said Bill are briefly as follows: (a) To empower the Coromandel County Council to reclaim certain lands from the sea and also from the bed of the Huaroa River or portions thereof, and to enter into contracts for the execution of works necessary or expedient in filling up or reclaiming the said lands. (b) Upon their acquisition by the Minister of Public Works, to empower tho Council to reclaim certain other parts of land and enter into contracts in connection with such reclamation or filling up. (c) To vest the lands in the Coromandel County Council for the purpose of an aerodrome and also for a road. (d) To empower the Council to divert tho Huaroa River. (e) To empower the Council to raiso a Special Loan for the said Aerodrome, including the cost of the lands. A copy of the said Bill, accompanied by a plan cf the lands being dealt with, has been deposited in the Magistrate's Court, Coromandel, and a copy of tho said Bill and plan have also been deposited at the Public Office of the Coromandel County, situated at Kapanga Roml, Coromandel, and such copies and plans are open to public inspection during office hours without fee.
