NEW SCHOOL WANTED
POSITION AT DARGAVILLE REQUEST TO GOVERNMENT [by telegraph—own correspondent] DARGAVILLE. Wednesday A motion asking the Government to treat as urgent the replacement of the Dargaville primary school buildings, and the acquisition of an additional playing area at the school was adopted by the Dargaville Chamber of Commerce at its monthly meeting last evening. In suggesting this action, Mr. C. L. Bagnall pointed out that portions of the building were more than .60 years old and on two occasions it had been swept by tire 'Mr. Bagnall added that repeated requests had been made by the school committee to the Auckland Education Board which had endorsed the application for a new school and additional playing area, arid had, applied -to the Go\*ernment for a grant. No gratit'had been made and, with the attendance increasing, there was urgent.need for action. 1 . \ .
