RELIGIOUS CAMPAIGN
TOWN HALL' MEETING The transformation of St. Matthew from a despised publican to an inspired disciple of Christ formed the basis of an address by the Rev. E. T. Olds at the weekly evangelical meeting in tho Town Hall last night. There was a congregation of about 1500 people. Speaking on the subject "Jesus Passes By," Mr. Olds explained that Christ still called men to. Him and, although unseen. Ho walked along the streets of Auckland just as He had walked by the sea of Galilee. Matthew had been regarded by his contemporaries as an outsider and there was a tendency in the world to-day for certain people to be placed in the same category. This was not the will of Christ, Whose call might come to any.
