COMMENTS ON HARVEST IL DUCE'S DENUNCIATION ROME, July 4 Standing stripped to the waist upon a threshing machine on which he worked for a quarter of an hour inaugurating the threshing season, Signor Mussolini angrily denounced "antiFascist speculation," which had suggested an indifferent Italian wheat harvest, which he asserted would be superior in quality to last year's and only slightly inferior in quantity. II Dueo added: "Even if bread is short, I will not ask assistance from the so-called great democracies."
