ROAD ACCIDENTS
SAFETY COMMITTEE FORMED AUCKLAND MOTOR-CYCLISTS A road safety committee was formed at a meeting of Auckland motor-cyclists held last night at the invitation of the Auckland Motor-Cycle Club. The Chief traffic officer, Mr. J. E. Ainsworth, represented the Transport Department. The causes of road accidents were discussed and suggestions advanced whereby they might ne reduced. It was stated that iraffie inspectors would cooperate with the Motor-Cycle Club and the committee in an effort to improve safety on the roads. The following committee was elected: —Messrs. W. White, L. Coulthard, A. Harry, E. S. Brookes, E. T. White, A. Dallow, C. Goldfinch, J. H. Dale, C). E. Merson, W. Gill. C. E. Allen, George Smith and J. C. Kay.
