Miss Daisy Lambert, of Wellington, left Auckland this week for Honolulu. Mrs. D. Skinner, of Christehurch, will leave at the week-end on a visit to Auckland. Miss Kthel Caro has arrived in Auckland from "Wellington to spend the winter months here. Miss Sheila Coates, of Matakohe, is the guest of Mrs. Claude Watson, Hataitai, Wellington. Mrs. S. Wyn.vard, Wairoa Road, Cheltenham, will leave by the Matua to-day on a visit to Tonga. Mrs. Derwent Lee, of Lower Hutt, Wellington, who lias been visiting Auckland, has left for Gisborne. Miss J. Kinder (Dunedin), Miss M. Kinder (Port Waikato), Miss E. L. Hel'aby (Nihotupu), are at the Station Hotel. Mrs. J. A. B. Prothcroe, who has been visiting friends in Auckland, will return by tlie Matua to-day to Nukualofa, Tonga. Miss Doreen Saunders left Auckland yesterday for To Kuiti, where she will judge the elocutionary and dramatic sections in the Te Kuiti competitions. Airs. Arthur Hempton, or Wellington, who has been visiting llotorua and Auckland, is at present staying with her sister, Miss B. Bayly, of New Plymouth. Mrs. R. R. Adair, of Southbridge, Canterbury, left Auckland this week accompanied by her husband, the Rev. 1?. R. Adair, and three children, en route to the United States. Mi ss K. K. Ash ton. who has resigned from the Town Clerk's department of the City Council to become principal stenographer to the Auckland Provincial Centennial Council, was accorded a warm tribute for her work at a meeting of the City Council last night. On the recommendation of the Finance Committee, a resolution was carried conveying the council's appreciation of the exceptionally fine services which she had rendered. \
