NEGOTIATIONS IN LONDON NO FURTHER INFORMATION British Wireless RUGBY, June 28 The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sir John Simon, was asked in the House of Commons what action he was taking in view of the declared default of Germany on Austrian loans. The Chancellor said that as negotiations were now taking place in London with representatives of Germany, he was not at present in a position to make any further statement. Dr. E. Weihl, of the German Foreign Office, who heads the German delegatioh for the financial aud economio negotiations between Britain and Germany with reference to the Austrian debt, and Sir Frederick Leith-Koss, chief, economic adviser to the British Government, had further negotiations to-day, relative to the question, it i» understood.
