MOTIVES QUESTIONED 1 MR. CHAMBERLAIN HITS OUT CONSIDERABLE INTERRUPTION INTERJECTORS REMOVED By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received June 24, G. 5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, June 23 In the course of his speech in the House of Commons on the bomb ing of ships in Spanish waters, tho Prime Minister twitted the Opposi tion with a new-found enthusiasm for the defence of British rights and property. He expressed doubt as to whether their motives were entirely unmixed. Mr. Chamberlain charged the Opposition with really desiring to see intervention on the side of the Spanish Government When Mr. Attlee intervened to assert that the Labour movement had accepted the non-intervention policy until it had been shown to be absolutely onesided, Mr. Chamberlain said that if any members of the Opposition were still for non-intervention, it behoved them not to bo diverted from it by any provocation. The Prime Minister was subjected to considerable interruption from the Opposition benches, and at one point in hi 3 speech interjectors had to be ejected from the public gallery.
