THRILLING SPY STORY V voung man staying at a remote seaside resort in the South of I-ranco is nrrested as a spy. He is innocent but it is made clear that one ot the other eleven guests is the gmltv party. In "Epitaph for a Spy, ' Mr. Erie Ambhr describes tho thrilling happenings which followed, and as the guests were French Swiss, German. American, .Imglish and Hungarian, the international complications are obvious. Tho least likely of the guests was involved, but, of course, in a good story that should be the case. 1 his is one ot the best mvstery novels to come along for some time. While the narrative flows easily, Mr. Ambler presents bis facts with clarity and economy ot words. As in his previous hooks lie displays a sound knowledge of world aflairs and all the peoples of Europe. "Epitaph For a Spy," by Eric Ambler. (Hodder and Stousrhton.)
