INTERESTING ADDRESSES WEEKLY MORNING TEA The speakers at the weekly morning tea of the Auckland Travel Club, 'held vesterday in the Milne and Reception Hall, were Dr. Elizabeth Gunn, director of school hygiene, and Miss Mary Wigley, both of Wellington. Mrs. Victor Macky presided. An interesting address on her work among Zealand sclioolciiildren was given by Dr. Gunn, who also spoke of the importance of school hygiene and of the efforts made by her department to see that every child received three examinations during its school life. Miss Wigley, wlio has travelled extensively, spoke of the present conditions and .the outlook different nations. She expressed the opinion that New Zealand seemed to be the best place to live in at the present time. During the morning Mrs. H. H. Corbin sang two solos. Mrs. M. Gully was the accompanist. Lady Wilson' presented floral shoulder sprays to Dr. Gunn, Mrs. Corbin and Miss Wigley. Members of tho committee present included: —Mrs. Charles Martyn, Mrs. G. T. Simpson, Mrs. Raymond Sheath, Mrs. H. T. Merritt, Mrs. G. E. Anderson, Mrs. C. B. V. Wheeler, Mrs. A. F. O'Donoghue, Mrs. S. T. Wicksteed and Mrs. J. McKcnzie Wilson. Among the overseas and out-of-town guests were:—Mrs. Athol Davis (British Somaliland), Mrs. R. S. P. Paul (England), Mrs. Jean Caulfield (France), Mrs. L. McPherson (Melbourne), Mrs. H. Walders (Hamilton), Mrs. E. Leahy (Dunedin) and Mrs E. D. Mossman (Gisborne).
