TAUMARUNUI SHOW

OPENING BY MINISTER RECORD ENTRIES RECEIVED HIGH QUALITY OF ROOT CROPS [by telegraph—owx correspondent] ' TAUMARUNUI, Friday The Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, opened the Tau* marunui Winter Show last night, when there was a large attendance.. The number of entries was a record. The Minister congratulated the association and district on the magnificent display of root crops and wool. Outside of the Waikaio, tho root crops wero better than any ho had Been at other shows. For the first time, in 12 years the association held the show under its own roof, having recently purchased a building and land well suited for the purpose. The entries numbered 1700.
