YACHTS AT POINT CHEVALIER

Sir, —1 see by. your paper that the Harbour Board is going to spend a large sum of money to make conditions better for yachtsmen. May I suggest that a few pounds spent at Point Chevalier would stop a lot of discontent and would make the pastime go ahead in this district. At present there is no provision for yachtsmen whatsoever. A glance around Oliver Road will show 20 odd valuable boats that have been hauled out over rocks and rubble. A small jetty and haul-out would be a valuable asset to this district. Why Stick in the Mud.
