EVANGELISTIC CAMPAIGN
ADDRESS BY DR. A. HODGE LIFE AND CHRISTIANITY Held under the auspices of the Evangelistic Campaigners, the fourth of a weekly series of public gatherings was held in the Town Hall last night, when there was an attendance of more th?\ 1500. The speaker was the Rev. Dr. A. Hodge, whose subject was "Shipwreck." Comparing life to a sea voyage, Dr. Hodge referred to some of the dangers which could lead to shipwreck and disaster. Some people, he said, seemed to have no purpose in life, others had been led astx-aj' by false doctrines and the wickedness of others, and some were in danger through their own recklessness. Christianity had a solution to the problems of life. "To be able to say you can begin life all over again." concluded Dr. Hodge, "is a gospel that is worth being able to preach."
