ROYAL VISIT TO FRANCE
DISPLAY IN THE CAPITAL PRO-BRITISH ENTHUSIASM LONDON", June 15 The Manchester G ttnrdian states that a Parisian restaurateur, referring to the coming visit of the King and Queen to France, said: "We cannot give- them the reception that Signor Mussolini gave to Herr Hitler, but the people will cheer of their own accord. "There will be citizens, not police, at the windows," lie said. "The soldiers lining the streets will not stand with their faces to the crowd." The Paris correspondent of the Daily Herald states that the city has caught Royal visit fever. Union Jacks are everywhere, and there is a wave of proBritish enthusiasm throughout the country. Designers are displaying Union Jack frocks and the shops are draped with red, white and blue inside and outside. Red, white and blue favours and bouquets are being sold in the streets, and portraits of their Majesties replace the traditional Eiffel Tower design on silk handkerchiefs and other souvenirs.
