VICTORIA LEAGUE DANCE REUNION OF MINUET SETS MANY YOUNG PEOPLE ATTEND The young people who took part in the minuet sets at the Empire ball renewed acquaintance last night at a dance at the Symondsvillo ballroom. The function was arranged by the girls' committee of the Victoria League. The supper room was attractively decorated with vases of Iceland poppies, narcissi, red salvias and massed clusters of ferns and lion's tail berries. Preceding the dance a dinner party was held, at which Mrs. L. S. llickerby, the chairman of the league, was the guest of honour. The guests were received by Mrs. llickerby, who wore a frock of black panne velvet. She was assisted by Miss Ela Hutchison, the deputy-chairman, who wore leaf green georgette with gold lame relief. The president of the league, Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane, was also present, and wore royal blue souple satin.
