DRAMATIC EVENINGS

ST. CUTHBERT'S OLD GIRLS The dramatic circle of the St. Cuthbert's Old Girls' Association, which has commenced this year, presented a trio of plays at St. Cuthbert's College last night for the, entertainment of the boarders The year's activities- were started with a social gathering at the home of the convenor, Miss Ruth Chandler, this being followed by two meetings at the club rooms, when plays were read and 1 discussed by tho girls Helpful criticism at these evenings was given lay Mrs. R. Stratton, who will continue in this work throughout the year. Among the members who have attended and taken part at the various functions are:—Miss Valarie Anderson, Miss Jean Bull, Miss Eleanor Ingram, Miss Clair Jerram, Miss Barbara Bayliss, Miss Marjorie Brett, Miss Margaret Grubb, Miss Nancy Patterson, Miss Margery Bryan, Miss Doreen Buttle, Miss Jean Chandler, Miss Ruth Watson, Miss Betty Webster. Miss Kathleen Teape, Miss Mary Early, Miss Joyce Connett, Miss Ella Cook, Miss Edna Cox, Miss Joan Gifford, Miss Patricia Laird, Miss Katie Melville, Miss Doris Leyland, Miss Nelsa McDougall, Miss Sheila McDougall, Miss Esther Neumegen, Miss Dorothy McConnell, Miss Erna Waddingham, Miss Margaret Wigglesworth, Miss Mary Wilson and Miss Margaret Whittome.
