evening at bridge NORTH SHORE GOLF CLUB Many people attended the bridge and mah jong party organised by members of the North Shore Golf Club, Devonport. Two log fires gave a cosy appearance to the rooms, and bowls of poinsettias added a vivid touch of colour. The guests were received by the president of the club, Mr. H. P. Ibbertsou, and Mrs. Ibbertsou, who wore a frock of black ring velvet. Members of the committee in charge of arrangements included: —Mrs. J. Hogan, Mrs. E. P. Earle, Mrs. A. Bow, Mrs. 11. E. Stevens, Miss I. Wight. The prize for contract bridge was won by Mrs. E. G. Whitley; auction bridge, Mrs. H. Goodwin; hidden number, Miss B. McDonnell; mah jong, Mrs. S. W. H.
