PLANTING OF TREES
ADVICE TO CHILDREN "Plant trees and look after them," was the slogan Captain S. Holm impressed upon the minds of the children who attended from the various colleges and schools to witness the Wellington Beautifying Society's treeplanting ceremony in the grounds of the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum. Captain Holm said that since the opening of the plantinn season the society had sent out 21,000 trees, and of the 3000 trees planted in the grounds of the National Gallery, 1000 had come from the society's nurseries. He told the boys and girls present to take care never to injure trees, but rather to take an. interest in them —to plant trees and look after them.
