AWARD OF HONOUR
FLYING-OFFICER CLOUSTON AERO CLUB'S GOLD PLAQUE [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Friday Tho Royal New Zealand Aero Club has decided to give its award of honour to Flying-Officer A. E. Clouston. This is the first time it has been conferred.
The design, which was approved recently, takes the form of a gold plaque showing on the obverse side a symbolic aeroplane in flight across clouds, flanked by New Zealand fern leaves, and with the Southern Cross and a Maori design below. The words "The Royal New Zealand Aero Club, Incorporated, award of honour," encircle the whole of the reverse side, which has a plain centre to allow of suitable lettering. A laurel wreath surrounded by a Maori design completes the pattern.
