LOSSES AT HAMILTON INTRUDER IN BEDROOM CATHEDRAL COLLECTION BOX [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday While Mr. and Mrs. H. Valder, of 81 Hiver Itoad, Hamilton, were at dinner last evening an intruder entered their bedroom through a French window and stole Mrs. Valder's handbag, which was lying on the bed, and a case containing several articles of jewellery, tho total value of the property being £SO. This was tho second burglary in Hamilton on tho same evening, Mr. G. E. A. Wilkes' homo in Tainui Street being entered and jewellery to the value of £3O, the property of Mr. Wilkes' daughter, Mrs. Colin Browne, being stolen. lTor tho second time in six months a missionary box has been torn away from one of tho pews in St. Peter's Cathedral and is missing. The amount of money in the box is not known.
GOLFHOUSE ENTERED
MONEY AND CROCKERY STOLEN

CAMBRIDGE, Friday Smashing the lock from tho door, a thief or thieves entered the'Bardowie Golf Club's clubhouse this week and stole a sum of money from the green fee box a.nd also took 30 cups and a number of teaspoons. The theft was discqyered yesterday afternoon and it appears likely that the entry was made on Wednesday night. Tlie green fee box was wrenched from tho wall. It contained about 245. The box was found lying outside in tho grass. The Bardowie clubhouse was entered in somewhat- similar circumstances last year, when a small amount was taken from the green fee box. On that occasion a considerable amount of crockery was smashed, but none was removed.
