CARD EVENING
SCOUT FUNDS BENEFIT A very successful five hundred evening wns held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Sugden, of Mount Albert, in aid of Scout funds.
Among those present were: —Mesdames H. Anderson, Mayoress of Mount Albert, F. Mcßride, T. Coyle, E. Smith, J. Ryan, E. Beattie, J. Dawson, M. Crawford, A. Sutton H. Jenkins, D. Sugden, P. Halliday, Messrs. H. Stevens, H. Jenkins, L. Halliday, T. Coyle, A. Ryan, E. Kays, Louden, J. Dawson, A. Sutton, Hughes, Coylan and W. J. Sugden. After supper a presentation of the Scout Thanks Badga was made to Mrs. Mcßride, prior to her departure for a holiday in Sydney. Mrs. Mcßride has fiven 25 years' service to scout work, Irs. Anderson, the Mayoress, also presented Mrs. Mcßride with a box of handkerchiefs from the ladies of the committee.
