AID FOR DOMINIONS
EVENT OF WAR IN PACIFIC EX-MINISTER'S ASSURANCE (Received June 8, 11.5 p.m.) PERTH, June 8 Sir George Pearce, a former Min-, ister of Defence, speaking on Foreign Affairs, said: "I am firmly convinced that if war came in the Pacific wo would not stand alone. There is no war; plan in the British archives that contemplates that dire responsibility. "Aid will be given, and it will be effective aid," Sir George added. "I had access, as a Federal Minister, to the British defence plans."
