LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
The Parnell brancji of the League of Mothers met in the Knox Hall, Birdwood Crescent, recently. There was a large attendance of members, over whom Mrs. J. W. Watson presided. Two members were enrolled.
The speaker was Mr. Brian Dunningham, who took as his subject "Women, and Social Justice." Mrs. Fred Hawke provided delightful music. Opportunity was taken to make a presentation to Mrs. Watson, who is shortly leaving on a visit to Great Britain. Mrs. Watson thanked the members for the presentation, and mentioned the fact that as this was the anniversary of her wedding day the present served a double purpose. Mesdames Hawke and Malcolm, the tea conveners, were assisted by Mesdames Stead and Barnes.
