BENNETT.—On June 3. at her late residence, Woodlawn, Taihoa, Matamata, Kate Lucie, beloved wife of Thomas Bennett, fifth daughter of the late John Andrews, Tipperary, Ireland, and granddaughter of the late Nathaniel Pennefeather Sadlier, of same county—l heard the voice of Jesus say "Come unto Me and rest." BENNETT.—On June 8, 1938, at Auckland Hospital, Alfred Edward, dearly-loved husband of Eliza Bennett, 12 Dickens Street, Grey Lynn, father of Cyril and loved brother of Matthew, Benjamin, Mark, Mrs. E. Cummings and Mrs. L. Doyle, in his 74th year.
Funeral will leave the chapel of J. Weir and Company, 70 I'onsonby Road tO-morrow (Friday), for Purewa Cemetery. BIESKE. —On Jnne 7, at the Auckland Hospital, Herman Adolph. of 16 Tranmere Road Sandringham, dearly-loved father of Lyneite Mercer, Lucerne Road, Remuera.
CLEARY.—On Monday, June 6, at Waverley, Elizabeth, relict of the laie Martin Cleary, in her 87th year. Private interment.
DOWLING. —On June 7, at a private hospital, Auckland, Polly, beloved wife of Peter Dowling, Glen Eden; aged 60 years. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, And there shali be no more death; v - Neither sorrow nor crying, Neither shall there be any more pain, For the farmer things are passed away. With Christ, which is far better. Funeral will leave W. H. Tongue and Son's chapel, to-day (Thursday), at 2 p.m. for Hillsborough. Funeral will leave Watney Sibun's chapel at 3.30 p.ra. to-day (Thursday) for Pnrewa Cemetery. / O'SULLIVAN. —On June '7, at Annexe, Thames, loved infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. OSullivan, Thames; aged six days. ROGERS.—On June 8, 1938. at his late residence, Tremelling Farm, Kiokio, and formerly of Cromwell, England, Thomas James, dearly-loved husband of Ellen .Rogers; aged 63 years.—With Christ, which is far better.
The funeral will leave his late residence at 2 p.m. to-day (Thursday) for the Otorohanga Cemetery after a short service at the residence.
