CONGRATULATIONS TO NAVY
DRUMMOND CUP CONTEST
The control board of the Auckland Football Association at its meeting last evening decided to send a letter of congratulation to the Navy on its success in the Drummond Cup competition.
Several complaints were received that certain teams were showing laxity with regard to the wearing of correct club colours, which led to' some confusion in the games. It was decided to bring the matter before 'the attention of the clubs concerned.
The following transfers were confirmed:— R. H. Riggans, Ponsonby to Comrades; C. J. Fitzgerald, North Shore to Abels; D. McMurcby, Metro-College to Y.M.C.A.; A. Ridland, Chelsea to Thistle. The following ground officials were appointed for Saturday:—Blundford Park, Messrs. L. Munro. W. Walker; Victoria Park, Messrs. F. G. Fullbrook, R. C. Brighton; Domain, Mr, A. P. Neesham.
