MAIZE The market for maize is moderately firm. V ery little is held in the Bay of Plenty end practically all supplies must now come from Gishorne. It is expected that new season's maize from the Bay of Plenty will be available shortly. Quotations aro unaltered at last week's rates and range from 12b to 12s 3<l per lOOlb. BAELEY Barley is reported to be selling a little better, on the same basis as last week. A I fair demand also is being experienced for barlcymeai. Clipped barley is quoted at from j 10s Od to 10s Sd per lOOlb. •BRAN AND POLLARD Australian pollard is very scarce and prac- ! tically no stocks are held in Auckland. Addii tional supplies will not be available until tne arrival of tho Karepo from Australia with a fresh shipment next week. Quotations are unchanged at from £lO Gs to £lO 10s a ton. There has been no alteration in the rato fixed by the AVheat Committee at £7 a ton. Ample stocks of bran are hold and the demand is rep6rted to bo a little better following the recent cold snap. Prices are unchanged from last week at £7 a ton through store. Tho price fixed by the Wheat Committee is unchtrTtged at £6 a ton. CHAFF AND OATS ' After a temporary shortage in some grades, chaff is again plentiful and the demand is reported to bo a little better. Quotations are unchanged at £lO 10s to £lO 15s a ton.
