VOYAGE IN KETCH

PARTY FOR NEW ZEALAND! SAILING IN SEPTEMBER [from our own corresponded] LONDON, May 18 The voyage to New Zealand of the 16-ton ketch The Lady Diana has been delayed and a start will not be made until September. Mr. R. Stanley, the owner, badly injured his back recently, and on medical advice decided to postpone the sailing date. The period of delay has been lengthened to avoid the hurricane season in tropical waters, and although Mr. Stanley has practically recovered from his injury, it has been thought advisable to wait until autumn before setting out for the Dominion. Mr. Stanley bad intended to leave early this month with his bride and Mr. Pritchard McGregor, of Kent. He gave up his employment in a London office, with the intention of sheep farming in the Dominion When The Lady Diana sails in September, Mr. Stanley will act as skipper, with Mr. McGregor as navigator, and Mrs. Stanley as cook. The two men are to share the cost of the trip, which they expect will take 12 months. The Lady Diana is a two-masted vessel, 35 feet long, with an auxiliary engine.
