RAILWAY INCIDENT
REPORTED JUMP FROM TRAIN A report that a man had jumped off the New Plymouth express last night on its departure from Auckland was made to the guard, who later advised Auckland after investigating the report. A search was made of the lines in the locality, but no trace of tho man was revealed. Nothing was known at the Auckland railway station oi the alleged incident until a telephone message was received from Papakura, where the guard had thrown off a note stating that a man was reported to have jumped olf one of tlje rear carriages as the train was leaving the southern end .of the platform at Auckland.
