WOMEN'S DIVISION
Clevedon. Neighbouring branches were invited to the monthly meeting, which was presided over Mrs. D. M. Bryan. Drama demonstrations were given bv Mrs. Terry, of Auckland. The prizes for the best blooms were won by Mrs. M. Wilson, Miss F. Stephens, and Mrs. N. J. Sutherland. Mrs. Stephens, sen., prior to leaving the district, received a thrift prize, and Mrs. Terry was presented with a bouquet. Makarau. —An interesting display of needlework and antiques was shown at the monthly meeting of the branch. Mrs. A. Tuke and Mrs. J. Cathcart were the hostesses. A book competition was won by Mrs. T. W. Hooper, with Mis 3 Lapage-Robbie second. Other competitions were: —Best shortbread: Mrs. W. Miller, 1; Mrs. J. Cathcart, 2; Best bloom: Mrs, A. Tuke, 1; Mrs. W. Miller, 2. A good assortment of produce was on the "bring and buy" table, which was well patronised. Elstow. —There was a good attendance at the annual meeting. Results of elections were: —President, Miss E. Strange; vice-presidents, Mesdames Stembridge and Johnson; secretary and treasurer, Miss Blackford; housekeeping auxiliary mombers, Mesdames May and 6. W. Wagstaff; provincial doleRates, Mesdames Stembridge and A. Nicol; committee, Mesdames Allen, S. Campbell, Blackford, Alley. 3'!. Nicol and A, T. Nicol; . trustees, Mrs. W. Burt and Miss P. Blackford; sales table, Mrs. Cox and Miss Cartwright; eomi>etition table, Mesdames Dugdale and Nicol; librarians, Mesdames Stembridge and Alloy; reporter, Mrs. W. Burt. Points prizes for the year were awarded to Mrs. May and Miss Blackford. The hostesses were Mesdames Allen, Blackford and Johnson. Orongo.—Mrs. Batchelor presided at tho annual meeting. The following officers were electfed: —President, Mrs. Batchelor; vice-presidents, Mesdames Bowen and Gray; secretary and treasurer, Mr*. C. Wilkins; committee, Mesdames Braithwaite, Egan, Hanan, Craig and Napier; advisory members, Mesdames Batchelor and Gray; dolegates to the provincial executive, Mesdames Clevely and Wilkins. Tho points prize for tho year was won by Mrs. Braithwaite, with Mrs. Heman second. Kerepeehi.—Mrs. Strong presided and reported that the branch had Bold poppies to tho amount of £lB 10s for Anzac Day. Mrs. A. L. Fisher had sold £6 worth of basketwaro for the Blind Institute, and tho sewing stall had brought in £l4. Tho officers elected were: —President, Mrs. Strong; secretary, Mrs. Poland; treasurer, Mrs. Hands; vice-presidents, Mesdames Bunting and Hayes; provincial delegates, Mesdames W. Shilton and A. L. Fisher.
