June S Herr Hitler is holding daily conferences with Field-Marshal Goering, Admiral Baeder, chief of the Naval Staff, General von Brauchitsch, Commander-in-Chief of the Army, and other high oflicers, says the Berlin correspondent of the Daily Telegraph.

Although tho press is still concentrating its guns on Czechoslovakia, political circles believe that Herr Hitler and his advisers are more concerned with the Spanish situation and the unexpected resistance of the Republican forces. Further outbursts against Czechoslovakia have been prompted by an alleged incident last week, when Czechoslovakian soldiers confiscated a swastika flag from a German couple and threatened them with their bayonets. Unity Freeman-Mitford, daughter of Lord Bedesdale, who has "gone Nazi," in referring to her detention and search by Czech police on the Prague-Carlsbad Road on Tuesday. Miss Freeman-Mitford said that a gendarme snatched a framed photograph of Herr Hitler, which she was carrying. The frame was broken in a tussle but she retained the picture. She was then taken to a police post, where, in the presence of a woman, she was forced to undress completely. Every article of clothing was examined. She said everyone was most abusive. Miss Freeman-Mitford's property was returned later with the exception of her camera and some films. She is still under the supervision of the police, but is to leave for Germany to-night. The newspapers in Berlin are seizing upon the incident for the purpose of an attack on Czechoslovakia, describing the arrest as a new act of terror, says a message from the German capital. They ask what the British public intends to do about another European scandal.
