PORT OF AUCKLAND MONTEREY AND NIAGARA The Matson liner Monterey will arrive this morning from Sydney and berth at Prince's Wharf shortly after seven o'clock. She has 184 passengers for Auckland, 360 arc through and about 190 will embark here. The Monterey will leave for San I'rancisco, via ports, at five o'clock this afternoon. From Vancouver, via ports, the Canadian Australasian liner Niagara will arrive early this afternoon, berthing at Queen's Wharf shortly after one o'clock. The liner will be despatched for Sydney at 11 o'clock to-morrow night. On her first visit to New Zealand, the M.A.N.Z. Lino's new motor-ship Port Montreal arrived from Halifax last night and anchored in the stream. She will, berth this morning at Prince's Wharf and load for New York, Boston and Montreal during discharge. WEIRBANK TO SAIL The Bank Line motor-ship Weirbank is expected to sail this afternoon for * aura Island. She has been discharging phosphate from Ocean Island at King s Wharf. TURAKINA FROM LIVERPOOL With general cargo from West. Coast ports of Britain, the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Turakina is expected here from Liverpool at five o'clock on Wednesday morning. THE DORIC STAR The Blue Star motor-ship Doric Star is now expected here from Gisborne oil Wednesday to complete loading for London Hull and Newcastle-on-Tyne. She should 6ail finally. via Panama, on June 7. MATUA DELAYED Rough weather in the Cook Islands has resulted in a delay to the programme of the Union Company's motor-ship Matua. The Matua is unlikely to arrive at Auckland from Rarctonga before Thursday. RANGITIKI CLEARS LONDON Cabled advice received by the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the liner Rangitiki left London on Thursday for Wellington, via Panama. She is due at Wellington on June 29 and at Auckland on July t>.

MATAKANA TO LOAD Expected to leave New Plymouth to-night for Auckland, the Shaw, Sa-vill and Albion steamer Matakana should arrive on Thursday morning to load for London and West Coast ports of Britain. MAIMOA AND MAHIA The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Maimoa moved from Prince's Wharf to the Motuihi anchorage to load explosives on Saturday morning and sailed early in the afternoon for London, Hull and Newcastle-on-Tyne. The same company's steamer Mahia cleared port a few hours later for London and West Coast ports of Britain. Both ships will steam via Panama. MAORI TO RESUME When the inter-island steamer Rangatira reaches Wellington from Lyttelton on Sunday, June 26, she will be withdrawn from service for survey. This has necessitated a change in the running, and the Maori will be recommissioned and will leave Wellington for Lyttelton on June 25.
