Hattersley, in the third round of the amateur championship at Troon yesterday, defeated Gordon Peters, a member of the British Walker Cup team, Hattersley scored an overwhelming success, winning 4 and 2 after the match had been square at the turn. He then had a devastating run of 3, 3, 4, 2, 4, 4 for the seven holes, the game finishing at the sixteenth.
