LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

At the monthly meeting of the Mount Eden branch of the League of Mothers an address dealing with the life of Madame Curie and her discovery of the uses of radium, was given by Dr. Elaine Gurr. The soloist was Mrs. Nicol. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses. Kihikihi Branch. —The monthly meeting of the Kihikihi branch of the League of Mothers was presided over by Mrs. G. McGhie. Mrs. Wallace, a visitor from the Mount Albert branch, was welcomed. Miss L Temple sent in her resignation as secretary and Mrs. Marquis was appointed as her successor. The thought for the month was given by Mrs. A. Anderson. A competition was won by Mrs. J. Anderson. Mesdames Cran, Eyre and Helwig were the hostesses at afternoon tea.
