MISSING FOR 17 YEARS
Missing for 17 vears after his return from the Great War, an Otago man who enlisted in the early days of the war, and who was severely wounded on Gallipoli, is again residing with his wife and among friends in Dunedin. For over 17 years he lived and worked in Australia, where he went shortly after his return from the front. lie obtained work under a relief scheme on the goldfields, and while he was there an Australian ex-soldier noticed a paragraph in a newspaper seeking the whereabouts of the missing man. He recognised his companion as the man for whom inquiries were being made, and urged him to return to New Zealand.
