REVOLT IN MEXICO
ACTIVITIES OF REBELS GRAVITY OF SITUATION CONCEALMENT BY GOVERNMENT (Received May 25, 6.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 25 The Mexican authorities announce that Federal troops fatally .shot Juan Soria Urias, brother-in-law of General Cedillo, the rebel leader, who was en route to join the leader, says a message from San Luis Potosi. Government troops are closing in on the rebels' hiding places. The rebels dynamited a train 55 miles east of San Luis Potosi, killing two of the train crew. It is 'reported that General Cedillo, who is leading 14,000 armed Indian peasants, cut off several detachments of Federal troops, says the Mexico City correspondent of the New York Times. While the Government has closed down the veil of official silence regarding its military activities, the Mexico City press is carrying on carefullydeveloped propaganda to hide the growing seriousness of the situation in San Luis Potosi.
