VESSEL STILL IDLE

DEADLOCK OVER KAIMIRO SEAMEN'S * UNION MEETING Protracted discussion by both parties during tho past week has not yet resulted in a settlement of the deadlock over the manning by the Seamen's Union of the Union Company's steamer Kaimiro. Following a dispute, the crew of the ship was paid off a week ago and since then the vessel has been idle. She was moved yesterday afternoon from Prince's Wharf to Western Viaduct. A meeting of tho Seamen's Union was held yesterday to consider taking the ship to sea. Nn result was reached and a further meeting will be held this morning. Considerable inconvenience is being experienced by the delay to tho Kaimiro at Auckland. The steamer usually is employed from Westport and Greymouth to Auckland and Portland,, and coal for Auckland is now waiting shipment on the west coast.
