ELEPHANT INVADERS

DAMAGE IN TRANSVAAL [from our own correspondent] JOHANNESBURG, April 20 Largo numbers of elephants have crossed the Union-Portuguese border east of Messina into the Transvaal. Mr. Jack Pienaar, n well-known elephant hunter, has just returned from that area and reports the presence of several large herds of eleEhants. He states that the elephants ave not only destroyed native lands but have also been invading native villages, trampling down everything in their way.
