-> MILAN, May 2<i In the Davis Cup contest, Italy eliminated Poland. Hebda (P6land) beat Taroni (Italy) 6 —3, 3—6, 6—l. 6—4, and Canapele (Italy) beai Tloczynski (Poland) 6 —2, 6 —l, 2—6, 6 —3. Italy had previously won the doubles and two of the other three singles matches.
