MAJORITY YOUNG EXPERIENCE A FEATURE D. HERRING OUTSTANDING The forwards are a fast sot and good handlers. Although the majority of them are young they have had wide experience. D. Herring (Auckland) is 23 years of age and weighs 14st 31b. He is the most promising forward in the game and should make a big impression in Sydney. Herring is a front-row forward, strong atftl rugged, and can handle the ball with the ability of a threequarter. J. Brodrick (Auckland) is 25 years of age and weighs 14st 71b, He is tho fastest forward in tho code. He came to Auckland from the Bay of Plenty as a Rugby representative, and toifred Australia with the New Zealand Maori team in 1935 with Nepia and Hemi. Brodrick is spectacular in his movements and will be a favourite with Sydney crowds. J. M. McLeod (Auckland) is 26 years of age and weighs 13st 61b. He has represented Tarauaki as a Rugby | representative and came to Auckland two seasons ago. He has developed into a clever forward in any position in the scrum, and is a dangerous player near the line. McLeod is no stranger to tho hooker's position and made good in the Maori match against Australia last year. A. Gault (Auckland) is 24 years of age and weighs 13st. 21b. He played representative football in the King Country and is a greatly improved forward. He has speed and is a good handler. W. J. McNeight (Auckland) is 25 ' years of age and weighs 14st 41b. He has tho honour of representing the South Island at both Rugby and League, McNeight has shown his best form in Auckland this season, and is a tireless forward in tho loose and a very strong tackier. W. Glynn (West Coast) is 28 years of age and weighs 13st 91b. He has represented the South Island on six occasions and New Zealand on four. He has maintained his form well and, although not so fast as some Auckland forwards, he is a great worker in the scrums and in the loose. G. Orman (Buller) is 26 years of age and weighs 12st. slb. He was one of the most discussed hookers for selection in the New Zealand Rugby team last season. Ho played for the West Coast against, the Springboks last year. Orman should be an asset to the team onco he gains n knowledge of tho different method of hooking.

.T. M. Satherley (Auckland) is 25 years of age and weighs list. 61b. He is the other hooker ajid is capable in this department. Ho is also a good forward in the loose. ■T. 0. Cootes (Wellington) is 25 years of age and weighs 13st. 111b. He is a solid front-row forward and has previously represented New Zealand. H. G. Tetlcy (Auckland) is 30 years of age and weighs list. Olh. Tetley was a former Rugbv five-eighths and is well fitted for the back-row forward position. He is fast and a splendid handler, and can still side-step like a back. J. Anderson (Auckland) is 26 years of age and weighs 13st. 91b. He represented the South Island in 1934. Last season Anderson scored 124 points in club footha'l and already this year has scored 32. He is a fine place kick and a good forward in the loose.
