,THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE METAL ISSUES AGAIN WEAKER Business was very dull 011 the Auckland Stock Exchange on Saturday morning, and there was 110 implement in tone following jhe easier tendency at the close of the previous day. OIII.V a limited number of sales was recorded, with practically 110 change in prices. Gilt-edged again were keenly sought. Banks for the most part were unchanged: but New Zealands showed a slight improvement. Holders of Unions of Australia were easier, and there was no support. Interest in insurances was maintained at late rates, with slightly better offers for Nationals. Offers for Kauri Timber improved following the announcement of the unchanged interim dividend and buyers for National Timber also were higher. There was practically 110 change in the other classified sections. Continued weakness in leading metal shares was a feature of trading in the miscellaneous section. British Tobacco also were easier, but offers for Colonial Sugars advanced. Chain stores showed a slight impnn vinent, but there was again no support for G. J. Coles. Taranaki Oils again changed hands at an advance. There wero no quotations on the unofficial list.
